102 degrees is HOT wherever you may live. In Seattle we all feel like we're melting. None of the houses have air conditioning as we're more accustomed to using our heaters than our fans. Cade and I have been sitting in front of our box fan for the past 2 days and have been perfecting our little dance of "how to keep the house as cool as possible." East facing windows are shut in the morning, curtains drawn & blankets covering the untreated windows as we get air from the west. Around 11am we shut everything and make the house as dark as possible. Finally around 6 pm the east can be opened again to try and let the "cooler" air in.
On the upside, our vegetable garden loves all this sun. After a good morning soaking they are growing like well, weeds.
