Last weekend the neighborhood cherry tree was in it's prime and full of ripe cherries. In order to get to them before the birds we pulled out the ladder and got to picking.

Oh goody, I hope you had a fun time pitting them and freezing them for our visit! I want a big fat cherry pie waiting for me when I get there! Or wait---are you going to save them and make ME pit them? ;)

Amy, they weren't pie cherries...although we found a tree down the street. Maybe I WILL freeze them whole and let you pit them :) Good idea.
